I missed a scheduled hearing set for Jan 5,2026. The address on the summons is incorrect and didn't arrive to the correct address until Jan 16,2026 in the evening by front office staff at my residence. The procedure is the staff handles the mail and delivers it to tenants on the date received normally. I opened the summons and realized that 1. I missed the scheduled hearing as a result of the address discrepancy and 2. They next day I attempted to notify the court as well as officer D. Cummings as my probation officer. The court says to ask to be put on the calendar to clear the warrant. Also, my housing is unstable out here, I have a room ready for me in rancho codovia, ca. How can I make these arrangements in hopes to clear my name and reinstate my probation? Is this something an attorney can assist me with. These concerns. I need someone who can best strategically convey this to the judge and assist me with logical choice(s) to present for my case.
